  3. Animal Rabies Immunization Clinic

    July 25, 2019, 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM

    Vaccinations will be provided free of charge to all dogs, cats and domesticated ferrets three months of age and older. All pets must be on a leash or in a cage and pet owners should bring rabies vaccination records for each animal that will be receiving a shot to ensure proper and effective vaccination. This event is sponsored by the Town of Ellicott and Dr. Mary Fales will be the attending veterinarian.

  1. Household Hazardous Waste Collection Event

    July 20, 2019, 9:00 AM - 2:00 PM

    The Chautauqua County Department of Public Facilities Division of Solid Waste will be holding this event where residents can safely dispose of hazardous items for free. Among some of the items that will be accepted are used antifreeze, nail polish, fluorescent light bulbs, hobby glues, non-empty aerosol cans, furniture and floor polishes, stains, turpentine, sealants, oil-based paints, chemical fertilizers, herbicides, pesticides, and pool chemicals. Residents taking part in the event must complete a registration form that lists all of the materials they are dropping off.

Office for the Aging

  1. OFA Senior Summer Picnic

    July 19, 2019, 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM

    The Chautauqua County Office for the Aging (OFA) will be holding its annual Senior Picnic at the large pavilion at Midway State Park. There will be bingo, 50-50 tickets, door prizes, and live music. Lunch will be served at 11:45 a.m. Lunch will be a chicken barbeque by All-American Barbeque & Catering of Jamestown and will include chicken, baked beans, potato salad, roll, watermelon, and dessert. Lemonade, water and coffee will also be provided throughout the day. Tickets are available until July 5, 2019 and can be obtained by contacting the OFA.

  2. Senior Farmer's Market Coupon Book Distribution Event

    July 27, 2019, 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM

    The Chautauqua County Office for the Aging (OFA) will be distributing Farmer's Market Coupon Booklets to eligible seniors. To be eligible, seniors must be at least 60 years old and have a monthly income at or below $1,926 for a single person household, $2,607 for a two person household, or $3,289 for a three person household. Coupon books are worth $20 with five coupons worth $4 each in a booklet. Seniors must come in person to pick up coupons unless a Power of Attorney form is presented.
